We were at our place at Otter Crest this weekend. Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day...and we made the most of it!
Liberty and I woke up at 5:30 am and headed down to the beach while everyone was still asleep.
We watched the sunrise, lighting up Gull Rock.
I wandered the beach taking a few photos of the rock formations and beautiful green seaweed.
On the way back to the beach place, I spotted two bald eagles. If only I'd had my telephoto lens with me.
After Eric and Piper were up we drove south, stopping at Devil's Churn beach.
We saw this interesting log jam there....the result of years worth of storms in this cove.
Next we drove to Heceta Head for a picnic on the beach....this is a beautiful little beach.
We hiked up to Heceta Head lighthouse.
Where I took this cute picture of Piper.
We took a tour inside the lighthouse where I took this close-up shot of a knob on the stair railing. The guide told us renovations will start next year.
