I was shopping at Lloyd Center on Sunday. As I was walking in from the parking garage, six monks and one man in western clothing got out of a mini-van and strolled into the mall behind me. What on earth, I wondered, are monks doing at a mall. Certainly they're not shopping for clothes (I'm pretty sure they don't sell orange robes at Macy's). I don't think they were there to go ice skating. Were they going to preach to shoppers? Perhaps they were there to get a wheat grass juice at Jamba Juice.
I shopped around for about a half hour and then I ran into the monks. I found out what they were there for. This:
Yes, my friends, they were shopping for cologne. They were swarmed around the men's cologne section trying out different types of cologne...they particularly seemed to like Hugo Boss (well, who doesn't). So, just goes to show you, even men of religion, like to smell like a supermodel!
